Course structure

Module 1: Introduction to CCIE and Networking Fundamentals

The CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) is a prestigious certification that validates advanced networking skills. It covers a wide range of topics, including routing, switching, security, and network troubleshooting. The course begins with an introduction to networking fundamentals, focusing on the OSI and TCP/IP models, routing and switching basics, and IP addressing (IPv4/IPv6). Key concepts such as VLANs, trunking, and protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, and STP are also explored, providing a solid foundation for advanced networking tasks. This foundational knowledge is crucial for mastering the CCIE exam.

Module 2: Advanced Routing and Switching Techniques

Advanced Routing and Switching Techniques focus on enhancing routing protocols and switching configurations. The course covers advanced topics like OSPF design and troubleshooting, EIGRP optimization, and BGP best practices. It also delves into Layer 2 switching concepts, including VTP, port security, and EtherChannel, along with in-depth understanding of Spanning Tree Protocol (STP). These skills are essential for building scalable, efficient, and resilient networks, and are key areas for CCIE preparation.

Module 3: Network Security and Troubleshooting

Network Security and Troubleshooting focuses on securing networks and resolving connectivity issues. The security portion covers Access Control Lists (ACLs), firewalls, NAT, and VPN technologies (IPsec and SSL). The troubleshooting section teaches how to diagnose and resolve routing, switching, and network performance issues using tools and techniques like log analysis and fault isolation. Mastery of these skills ensures a secure, well-functioning network, which is crucial for CCIE certification.

Module 4: Automation, Design, and Exam Preparation

Automation, Design, and Exam Preparation covers network automation tools like Python and Ansible for streamlining configuration tasks and managing complex networks. It also includes concepts of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) for modern network architectures.
