What is the eligibility?

To be eligible for the CTP exam, candidates generally need:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience in treasury, finance, or a related field. Alternatively, candidates with a Master's degree or CFA/CPA certifications may have some experience waived.

What are the Exam Information?

  • Computer-based exam.
  • 150 are scored questions. 20 are unscored pretest questions (these are randomly distributed and do not affect the final score).

Exam Dates

The CTP exam is offered in two testing windows each year:

  • June–July.
  • December–January.
Passing Criteria

The CTP exam uses scaled scoring, ranging from 200 to 800 points. A score of 300 or higher is required to pass the exam. 

The exact number of correct answers needed varies depending on the exam difficulty.

Conducted at Pearson VUE testing centers globally or via online proctored testing.
