Module 1: Strategic Entrepreneurship Direction and Planning

Strategic Entrepreneurship Direction and Planning focuses on evaluating and analyzing strategic plans by examining internal and external change drivers. It includes assessing an organization's strategic position and identifying strategic options to meet its objectives. The course covers justifying strategic choices, understanding stakeholder expectations, and applying frameworks like Medelow, POSIWID, and organisational purpose. Key topics include risk assessment, strategic tools and techniques, and the process of evaluating, monitoring, and reviewing a strategic plan to ensure alignment with organizational aims and objectives.

Module 2: Strategic Marketing Management

Strategic Marketing Management focuses on key elements of marketing, including the marketing mix, principles of marketing, and marketing research. It covers international marketing planning, data collection techniques, and traditional strategic approaches. The course examines concepts such as the diffusion of innovation, product life cycle, and risk management within marketing plans. Topics like brand advertising, global branding, and advertising to children are explored, along with regulatory frameworks and product/service branding. It also looks at consumer behavior, customer service, and the growing importance of digital and global marketing in the context of globalization theories.

Module 3: Financial Planning and Analysis

Financial Planning and Analysis focuses on understanding key accounting concepts like profit, cash, and the distinction between capital and revenue. It covers financial and management accounting, budgeting, cash flows, and costing methods. The course explores return on investment calculations, depreciation, and cost/profit centres, as well as techniques for financial analysis and cost-benefit analysis. It also examines lean methods in accounting, the difference between data and information, and how to source and use financial data effectively.

Module 4: Organisational Change Strategies and Human Capital Leadership

Organisational Change Strategies and Human Capital Leadership focuses on the processes of managing organisational change through various frameworks and methods, including problem structuring, communication strategies, and leadership styles. It explores the role of culture, power, and politics in change, examining traditional and emergent models of change. Key topics include performance management, team development, and motivation theories, as well as aligning team goals with organisational strategy. The course also delves into tools like the IMPAQ approach, Tuckman’s stages of team development, and Belbin’s team size, with a focus on employee engagement, the psychological contract, and current performance management issues.

Module 5: Digital Information and Data Analysis Management

The Digital Information and Data Analysis Management course focuses on key aspects of the digital economy, including the Digital Finance Ecosystem with technologies like blockchain and IoT, and digital payments. It covers strategic management, regulation, and customer-centric digitalisation in finance. The course also explores the Knowledge Economy, knowledge management, and the distinction between data, information, and knowledge. Topics like tacit and explicit knowledge, information security, and trade-off models are discussed, along with the use of digital technologies and tools like Earned Value Management (EVM) for business decision-making.
