What is the eligibility?

To be eligible for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

Option 1:

  • Education: A 4-year degree (bachelor's or equivalent).
  • Experience: At least 36 months (3 years) of project management experience.
  • Training: 35 hours of formal project management education or possession of a CAPM certification.

Option 2:

  • Education: A high school diploma, associate’s degree, or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 60 months (5 years) of project management experience.
  • Training: 35 hours of formal project management education or possession of a CAPM certification.
